Getting parents linked on Pageticker.

If not all parents have immediately set up their Pageticker accounts and linked to their child, don't worry. We all know how busy life can be but luckily, it’s super-easy for parents to get set up, and the benefits will quickly become apparent - they will almost certainly thank you in the long run!

If you don't get a 100% sign-up after the welcome letter, that's fine - it happens with any new thing. Here are some quick ideas to get more parents linking:

  1. Shout it out it in the school newsletter

  2. Print off a Pageticker certificate for one of the child’s first achievements from reading logged in school and pop in the book bag along with a reminder note

  3. If there’s a meet-the-teacher evening, take a couple of minutes to get parents onto the app

  4. Likewise, do this on an individual basis at your first parents evening

  5. Try and catch parents at drop-off or pick-up and help them then.

  6. In the ‘Manage Students’ page, use the small down arrow next to the ‘select all’ check box to select children with no linked parents, and reprint the welcome letters for those last few.

Once the majority of parents start using Pageticker the rest will follow. Getting quick momentum is key  - early adoption leads to better long term usage, and on a practical level, linking codes need to be regenerated every fortnight, so rapid adoption means not having to print out letters again.

The good news is that 91% of parents prefer using Pageticker, and our App Store rating is 4.8*, so you can rest assured that the vast majority of parents will be happy to have made the switch.
