Meet the Pageticker Team

Hi there! We're Tom and Nic, the creators of Pageticker.

We're former teachers and parents to three wonderfully different children. We've lived the daily challenge of getting kids excited about reading, and we know just how magical it is when a child finally curls up with a book they love.

Before Pageticker, we founded DoodleMaths, which gave us years of hands-on experience in edtech and a real understanding of what schools need to help children thrive.

Pageticker is what we built in response. Our mission is simple: give adults the tools to motivate children to read, and help them find books they'll genuinely love.

Rebecca Hill

Business Support Manager

Whilst Becky is the newest member of Pageticker, she previously worked with Tom and Nicola (our founders) for almost 15 years. She wears many hats and gets involved in most areas of Pageticker - from finances, to marketing, and looking after our school's customers.

Outside of Pageticker, Becky's life is anything but quiet! Between keeping up with her two teenage girls, she loves car boot sales, theatre trips, and treating the family to a cream tea whenever she gets the chance.

Becky's Top 3 Books:

1. Not a Penny More, Not a Penny Less by Jeffrey Archer

2. The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

3. The List of Suspicious Things by Jennie Godfrey

Matt Hooper

Tech Lead

Meet Matt! Matt is our Tech Lead and has been part of Pageticker since day one, helping to build it from its earliest stages. Matt makes sure the dashboard and app run seamlessly and is constantly thinking about new features and functionality to make things even better for our users.

At home, he's a family man through and through - a proud dad to two little ones and always making time for his wife, too. He now knows more about picture books than he ever imagined possible! When he gets a moment to himself, you'll likely find him out on his Sunday morning run.

Matt's Top 3 Books:

1. I Want My Hat Back by Jon Klassen

2. The Baddies by Julia Donaldson

3. We're Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen

He loves playing sports and trying new things - you'll find him on the football pitch, having a go at paddle, or catching up with friends. If you don't see him out on the courts, he'll be somewhere else pretending he's a professional!
