Handpicked Suggestion

Our weekly handpicked suggestion is The Not-So Great Escape by Emma Green. Suitable for children aged 9+.

Hedley’s always done everything right and played things safe, since the night that changed everything.
When his friend Aiden steals an alpaca, Hedley finds himself on a road trip he didn’t sign up for with a haunted forest, an accidental robbery and viral fame.
Will Hedley continue to play it safe as the police close in?
A great pick for fans of Frank Cottrell Boyce.
Notable New Release

The notable new release for this week is Guardians of the New Moon: The Year of The Tiger by Eric Huang and Phùng Nguyên Quang. It’s suitable for children aged 6+.

The Heavenly Palace is in chaos. Biao the tiger is missing, and without her there’s no Year of the Tiger. So Ming and Miaow must find her and if they do, bringing her back won’t be easy.
Biao’s too busy trying to save the dying forest to care about the Lunar New Year. With time running out, can the Guardians save Biao’s home and the Year of the Tiger?
There are a range of books in the Guardians of the New Moon series, so if children love this book it’s worth checking out:
Book 1: Ming and Miaow's Great Race
Book 2: The Year of the Rat
Book 3: The Year of the Ox
