Victoria Primary Academy

315 average books completed weekly
91% of children have written a book review
“Implementation has been really easy”
“It’s minimal effort for the impact”
“The whole school are really engaged with it”

What was the main reason that you signed up to Pageticker?
We had very low uptake on the paper reading diaries which had been in place for years and years. There was no efficient way of monitoring, and it was not very easy to see the lack of engagement.
How easy was Pageticker to implement?
I think implementation's been really easy. The setup is very user friendly. The number one thing I would say is fabulous is the speed of feedback - any questions have been answered by the support team within half an hour. Very impressed.
Is Pageticker saving you time?
For me definitely, because I was quite rigorous with my paper diaries. Pageticker is easy. It's not time consuming. I put it up on the whiteboard because we can see the certificates and things like that. So, it's minimal effort for the impact, and if you build it into your routine daily, it's just a really easy thing to check.
How would you describe the impact of Pageticker for pupils within school?
The whole school are really engaged with it. They love certificates. They love leaving reviews. I love being able to type back a quick message, and even if you just click the heart to acknowledge the reading it shows that we're engaged as well.
Has Pageticker been cost effective?
Very much so, I think it's really good value for money. Paper diaries cost even more than a year of Pageticker.
