We are pleased to announce that Pageticker has now integrated all the Project X titles into our platform.

Amongst its many features, Pageticker, our digital reading record, offers tools to assist teachers in assigning books to pupils based on specific reading or phonics schemes. Recently, we have integrated data to support schools using the Project X scheme.

What Is Pageticker?

Pageticker is a digital reading record designed to help teachers and parents monitor reading development. With its intelligent tracking features, Pageticker ensures that pupils receive the right books based on their reading level and phonics scheme. We are pleased to announce that Pageticker has now integrated all the Project X titles into our platform.

What is the Project X reading scheme?

The Project X reading scheme is a structured literacy program designed to help children develop their reading skills through engaging, high-interest books. It is widely used in UK primary schools, particularly for guided reading and phonics development.

How Pageticker supports Project X schools

For schools using the Project X reading scheme, Pageticker now offers:

1. Reading record progress

Children read their Project X books as usual, and teachers or parents can quickly and easily log their progress on Pageticker with as much detail as they’d like - including:

  • Fluency metrics: reading rate, accuracy, expression, and comprehension

  • Reading milestones: tracking improvements over time

2. Teacher dashboard for real-time insights

Teachers can instantly view a book’s corresponding reading band for any title. For example, in In the Pens (as shown in the screenshot), teachers can see:

  • Which pupils are reading the book

  • How they are progressing

3. Intelligent book suggestions

When assigning the next book, Pageticker provides smart recommendations, based on what the child has previously read and how they fared. Teachers use these as a guide, and it saves the time of manually going back over records to avoid repeating the same book.

Additional features on Pageticker

In addition to Project X, Pageticker also supports:

  • Reading Stars Phonics: A structured phonics program designed to build confident early readers through engaging, decodable books.

  • Collins Big Cat: A diverse collection of beautifully illustrated books supporting reading development from early years to independent reading.

  • Little Wandle Books: A research-backed phonics scheme aligned with Letters and Sounds to ensure reading success.

  • Oxford Reading Tree: A widely used reading program featuring beloved characters like Biff, Chip, and Kipper to make learning fun.

This makes Pageticker a particularly versatile tool for schools using multiple reading schemes.

Why schools choose Pageticker

Pageticker is more than just a digital reading log - it’s a powerful educational tool designed to improve literacy outcomes. It simplifies read logs, tracks progress, and provides valuable insights for teachers.
