Making the Most Out of Pageticker

A number of our schools are using Pageticker exceptionally well. So I thought I'd share some best practice insights.
Using Pageticker to track in school reading
Some schools are using Pageticker to log guided reading, phonics groups, reading interventions and simply to log that they have heard a child read.
Others have created groups to monitor their PPG children.
Sharing highlights with Parents

Some of our schools are using the weekly class usage emails to create an announcement to parents. Sometimes they write about how usage has changed since the previous week and to share any reading news.
Others screenshot the last week's reading tile on the homepage of the Teacher Dashboard and either attach this to the school newsletter, share it in assembly or as an announcement. This is from our test account, so I'm sure your data will look much better.
Using pupil logins with certain pupils
We recommend pupil logins for pupils aged 8 and above, in addition to, rather than in place of parent logins. Some schools are using pupil logins with Year 5 and 6, as well as a couple of pupil logins for younger children, who are particularly motivated by logging their own reading.
Monitoring reading targets
Some of our schools have an expectation that children read a certain number of times a week. They use the pages and logs totals on the class reading page to monitor progress against these targets.
