Over the summer, we released an in-built book scanner for teachers on the teacher dashboard.
Some teachers send books home for parents to log reading on the parent app. However, a number of teachers we spoke to also wanted to be able to log reading in school. So this is why we built this functionality.
A number of our schools like to log guided reading, monitor intervention groups and keep track of phonics books. Here's how it works:
On the pupil reading page select the pupil name and click the log reading button.
Either choose a book from the list or if you're adding a new book, click on scan book. When you click on scan book a camera will open. You need to put the barcode of the book in the white box.
Then continue logging reading as normal. Select a reading type and an end page and click add log.
