About Pageticker

According to the National Literacy Trust, 2024 marked the lowest reading enjoyment levels in history, with just 35% of children enjoying reading.
This was an astonishing dip from 43% the year before - the previous low.

Pageticker was created to help children rekindle their love of reading.

For Early Years and Key Stage One, our product helps parents and teachers easily track reading progress and provides the tools needed to build a regular reading habit.

For Key Stage Two and beyond, exciting book discovery, a beautiful reading record and community features help turn extrinsic motivation to an intrinsic love of books.

We are a small team, with the simple vision of helping children fall back in love with reading.

Our Story: Why Pageticker Was Created

Hi. We're Tom and Nic, creators of Pageticker.

We are former teachers, and parents to three (very different!) children. We've experienced, first hand, the increasing challenge of engaging children in reading, and equally, how rewarding it is when a child curls up with a good book.

Pageticker is our response to this. Our mission is simple: to make children excited about reading by giving adults the tools to motivate them and find books that they'll love.

One last thing before you get started. Pageticker is a remarkable product. We know how to do edtech well - we previously created the best-selling primary maths app in the UK, and we have assembled an incredible team of teachers and techies to help us again on our mission!

Our Parent Company: Pedalogic

Pageticker is part of Pedalogic, an education-focused tech company committed to helping schools and families thrive through innovative digital solutions. Pedalogic has been supporting the educational sector with tools that improve student engagement, support teacher development, and foster a love of learning.

By leveraging their experience in EdTech, Pedalogic’s founders created Pageticker as the next step in their mission to revolutionise education and make learning more accessible, enjoyable, and effective for all.
